(Column) All About Ashville

This sentiment has been expressed more than once in this column. This is not the first time.

Because too much cannot be said about the beauty and the benefits of living off the land.

A farmer knows how their food is treated and fed. They know what chemicals are used on their vegetables to keep the pests away. And it preserves the environment as opposed to polluting it.

So thank you to Ashville’s future farmers of America. They made a lasting effect on the third graders at St Clair County Farm Day.

A lot of people stay up late on Friday nights. It is the beginning of the weekend. But this Friday, people might want to go to bed at regular time. Because the fun in downtown Ashville will be starting at 10 a.m.

It is the Fall Festival Car Show. But there will be more than cars. There will be food trucks, vendors, face painting and more. The fun last until 2 p.m., so get there early so you don’t miss one minute of fun!

The holiday season is not easy for everyone. In fact, it is even harder for those who have recently lost a loved one. Christ Community PCA is holding a seminar for those who are grieving.

The time and date is Nov. 3, at 3 p.m. There is a link to register on the What’s Happening in Ashville page.

Even as we grieve loss, we can still celebrate the lives of those who are gone. We can celebrate this life while we have it.

Have a great week Ashville.
