The Springville Police recognized K-9 Officer C.J. Pippin and his partner Dutch Shepherd, Lala as members of the SPD. Officer Pippin graduated from St Clair County High School in 2011 and is a United States Army veteran. In 2018 Officer C.J. Pippin became a state certified F.B.I. Police Sniper.

The SHS Key Club held a sock drive for the homeless on Nov. 6. The Key Club’s motto is “Caring, Our Way of Life.” The Key Club is an international, student-led organization that provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character and develop leadership.

Springville High School held its annual 2023 Alumni Basketball Game on Sunday, Nov. 5 at SHS.

Congratulations to the SYSA, Springville Youth Soccer 9/10 Storm Boys who marched through their state league season undefeated. They will advance to the State Cup Final in Foley.

The Springville Police Department is hosting a toy drive for TOYS FOR TOTS. They are currently taking donations and new unwrapped gifts (please no stuffed animals). You can drop the toys off at the police department Monday through Friday from 8-5 p.m. Last year the SPD helped over 50 local families. Those needing assistance can pick up applications at the police department. The Deadline is for assistant applications is Dec. 11.
