Springville Elementary received a generous donation of school supplies from Dollar Tree in Trussville on Sept. 8.

For the first time since 1939, the Springville High School Senior Beta Club has eight candidates ranked as number one academically joining Beta Club this fall.

SMS Cheerleaders volunteered at the Baby Steps 5K at Homestead Hollow benefitting the Amelia Center of Children’s Hospital of Alabama on Sept. 9.

Springville Elementary School second grade students practiced arrays in math on Sept. 12.

The Springville Public Library will host an author meet and greet, book signing and reception on Oct. 7 at 11 a.m. where local author, Sally Self, will be presenting her debut novel, “Frost and Fervor.” The novel, written by the local licensed professional counselor, is for teens and young adults dealing with anxiety and depression.
