“This may be the single most important day in Pell City history,” said Pell City Mayor Bill Pruitt. “This reaches back 13 years. This is the fourth administration that has worked to get a movie theatre in Pell City. I’m honored to a part of this. This was well worth the wait.”

The entertainment center has seven movie screens with reclining seats, a 12-lane bowling alley, a ropes course, an arcade game room, café area with pizza pub and bar.

“As mayor and a citizen, I want to thank everyone for making this possible,” continued Pruitt. “I look forward to many movies and family time together.”

The theatre held its groundbreaking ceremony two years ago and opened to the public Thursday, Jan. 17 with a free movie day, featuring releases from last summer, and began regular business hours, showing current releases  on Friday, Jan. 18.

“Thanks to the city and the county commission for their support,” said Gary Moore, owner and CEO of Premiere Cinema Corp. “This will be a destination attraction and draw from counties all around, a lifestyle enhancement of epic proportions. We hope to give you years and years of enjoyment and could not be more thrilled for your support.
