- Leeds Police Department was chosen as one of 16 finalists from Lip Sync Challenge videos from across the nation.
If you haven’t gotten in on the excitement with the Leeds Police Department and the USA TODAY Lip Sync Contest, it’s time to cast your vote. Leeds was chosen to represent the South Region and is one of 16 police lip sync videos in the entire contest. Police department lip sync videos have gone viral all summer long and the LPD video was the only one chosen from Alabama so be sure to vote by this Friday, Aug. 31 Noon ET to help Leeds win the first round at https://bit.ly/2ogL8QA. Let’s all do this together!
Today, Aug. 30 will be the last day for the Leeds Farmers Market for this summer season.
The Leeds Masonic Lodge Community Breakfast will be held at 8 a.m. this Saturday, Sept. 1. Breakfast is free, but donations would be appreciated. All donations are used for City of Leeds community involvement programs. Contact T.V. Weaver for more information at 205-699-6742.
It’s hard to believe that summer is almost over with the Labor Day holiday coming up on Monday. I hope you and your family have a safe and happy holiday as we celebrate the American labor movement and contributions that workers have made to the strength and prosperity of our country.
