Kathy Wilson is the May Teacher of the Month for Steele Jr. High School.

Wilson teaches 1st Grade and has been teaching for 20 years, 15 of those at SJHS.  Her husband is Johnny Wilson who is a native of Steele and a substitute bus driver.  She said the kids and parents in Steele are wonderful. 

Some of the first grader’s comments include “awesome”, “fun”, “nice”, “best teacher ever” and a personal favorite, “goodest”.  Now you can’t beat that for a compliment! 

The students are excited about learning to do research on the computer. When asked what subjects they were studying on the computer they said dinosaurs, presidents, farmers and whales.  These inquisitive young people are the future of our Town and State.
