The event is beautiful each year with tables decorated in every theme and every color imaginable. The table hostesses, decorators, and guests come together for an afternoon of fun, fellowship, silent auction, purse sale, and entertainment, at the 9th Annual Tablescapes “Love Feeds the Soul” Fundraising Luncheon on Saturday, February 24 benefitting Lakeside Hospice and The Christian Love Pantry.

These local faith-based, non-profit organizations are grateful to the community for their continued support. All funds received through this event are evenly split between the two organizations with over 93 percent of the proceeds going directly to patient care at Lakeside Hospice, and feeding those in need through The Christian Love Pantry.

Less than seven percent of the proceeds go toward food for the event, paper products, and housekeeping needs at The Beacon at First United Methodist Church.

This year Lakeside Hospice and The Christian Love Pantry each received $7,575.18 through the generosity of so many.

The Pell City High School Showstoppers who sang, danced, and overwhelmed the crowd with an amazing performance including such hits as “Uptown Funk” provided this year’s entertainment. The dynamic Ginger McCurry, who does such an incredible job with all these young and talented youth, leads the Showstoppers.

Organizers would like to thank the First United Methodist Church for opening The Beacon to this event each year. They would also like to thank everyone who hosted or sponsored a table, bought a ticket, donated door prizes and silent auction items, and to the volunteers who came together to make this event a success once again.
