The Springville Presbyterian Church is undergoing a restoration. The church is one of the oldest churches in the area. Donations to fund the restoration can be made to the Springville Presbyterian Church Foundation at P.O. Box 429, Springville, AL 35146.  

The Springville Junior Varsity Girls Volleyball team won County Champs and the Springville Varsity Girls volleyball team sweeps county win also. 

The Springville Historical Museum is displaying Springville’s only red light.

The Springville Farmers Market on Main Street (across from PNC Bank) is growing and creating a buzz with local honey, fresh vegetables, local artisan crafts and fun, food offerings.  The Springville Farmers Market will be open every Friday from 3-6 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. -12 p.m. until November 11 with booths from local produce vendors and craft and art vendors.  

Springville Police Department is presenting a Firearms Safety course, which is open to the public. The course includes two hour classroom training and two hours actual training on the firing range by two certified NRA instructors. You may sign up by calling Lauri Jones at 205-467-6133. AL State Hwy 11 from Whitney Junction/AL Hwy 231 to State Route 23, Springville to close to thru traffic on Monday, December 12 for bridge work. Alternate Route: I-59. The Springville Civil Air Patrol meets every Tuesday from 6 – 8:30 p.m. at the National Guard Armory. The age requirement is 12-18 years of age and adults may also join as senior members. Cadets learn leadership skills, aerospace, character development, as well as team work. Cadets also learn piloting skills.
