October is a busy month beginning the holiday season. There are several local events and festivals in St. Clair County for those of all ages. Trunk-or-treats, haunted houses, and numerous fall festivals fill the calendar. Here’s a list of things to do in the area.
Springville:

One Eighty Church is hosting a Fall Festival October 25 from 6-8 p.m.

Crosspoint Church will have a fall festival on October 29 from 4 – 6 p.m.

Treats on Main hosted by the Springville Chamber of Commerce will be October 31 from 6-8 p.m.
Pell City:

Cropwell Baptist Church, Trunk or Treat, Oct. 25, 6-7:30 p.m. in the church’s rear parking lot. There will be candy, games, and a free hot dog dinner. 2700 Hardwick Rd., Pell City, AL 205-338-7995

Second Annual Avondale Mills Day, Sat., Oct. 28, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. You are invited to support our local community and celebrate the history of Pell City with food, fun, live music, entertainment, and a Puppy Parade! There will be kids’ activities, vendors, food, and a drawing for an original 1966 Chevy Truck. All proceeds from the drawing will benefit local charities. First Baptist Church, Fall Festival, Avondale Walking Track, Oct. 29, 4-6 p.m. Free games, inflatables, food, candy, fun! Dress up, but nothing scary please. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Pell City High School Trunk or Treat, Oct. 30, 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. Open to children of all ages. Costumes encouraged, but requesting no scary costumes. There will also be a haunted house for children ages 10 and up. The haunted house will be located at the Pell City Center for Education and Performing Arts (CEPA). Admission for the haunted house is $3 per child.

Ragland will be having their 2nd Annual Halloween in the Park October 28. If you are interested in a booth or donating trick or treat bags, lights, etc. please contact Carrie Collen Darby, Alicia Yance or Khrystal Fairchilds on Facebook, or call 205-405-7273. They will have a chili cook off, costume contest, bands, and fun for the whole family. This will be to raise money for the scoreboard to be repaired and things to make the town prettier.

Odenville City Hall will host a community Trunk or Treat, Tuesday, October 31 from 5-7 p.m. Anyone can set up to give away treats!
Leeds/Moody:

Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting Downtown Trick or Treat on Halloween, Oct. 31 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Area businesses will be busy all down Parkway Drive and a couple of side streets giving out candy to kids as a safe alternative to traditional trick or treating. Leeds First United Methodist Church will host their Fall Festival during the Leeds Downtown Trick or Treat event again this year to add to the excitement.

Leeds River Campus of Eden Westside Baptist Church will host their Fall Festival Trunk r Treat event on Halloween, Oct. 31 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Candy, games, photo booth and more.
