Pell City Chamber welcomes new board members

Seven new board members have taken their seats with the Pell City Chamber of Commerce.

The newly elected board members are John Garrison, Kelly Furgerson, Ashley St. John, Blair Goodgame, Teresa Carden, Brian Worley and Charity Mitcham. The new members will serve for a three-year term, although two members will serve for two years. 

Kelsey Bain, the new executive director of the chamber, said, 

“The new board members are an awesome group of people. They want to be involved and are ready to work. I think 2017 will be a really good year for the chamber. We are excited to see what it holds,” Kelly Bain, executive director of the chamber, said.

On Jan. 12, Bain welcomed attendees to the Annual Stakeholder’s Meeting, which was held at Louie’s Grill in Pell City. She also presented plaques and honored the outgoing board members. Those members were President Ed Brasher, Vice President Dana Jacks, Treasurer Will Hardwick, and Board Member Caran Wilbanks. The new Executive Board Members were also sworn in. Those Members are President Larry Daugherty, Vice President Adam Bain, and Treasurer Lindsey Woodard. Larry Daugherty, an active member of the community, presented the upcoming chamber events for 2017.

“Thanks so much for all of the directors, members, and businesses represented at our Annual Stakeholder’s Meeting. A special thanks to all those businesses that sponsored a table. Together we grow and move our city forward to even greater accomplishments. I am very honored to serve as your 2017 Chamber President. We as a chamber look forward to showcasing our town with events currently scheduled,” Daugherty said.

•Alabama Student Angler Bass Fishing Association (ASABFA) High School Fishing Tournament •Annual Block Party June 2017

•Partnering with Lincoln and the Talladega Chamber of Commerce for the Babe Ruth
