Police sirens

According to the St. Clair County Sheriff’s office, Deputies in St. Clair County are investigating a shooting on I-20 West near the Brompton area.

The shooting is reported to have happened because of a verbal argument, which occured around noon Saturday.

The victim, identified as Hans Scheing of Middletown, Delaware, suffered a gunshot wound to the stomach area. Scheing was taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital before being flown to UAB Hospital.

Investigators suspect John Thomas Hood from East Garden City, South Carolina.
