Arrests made in Riverside drug trafficking investigation

Two Riverside men were arrested recently in a drug trafficking investigation, according to a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department release.

The release states an extensive investigation resulted in a search warrant being executed at 125 Henderson St. in Riverside. The search yielded 28 grams of methamphetamine, heroin and marijuana, other drug paraphernalia, including scales, and approximately $6,000 in cash. 

Michael Curry, 60, and Alan Henderson, 35, who both listed the Henderson Street address as their residence, were arrested last Thursday and booked in the St. Clair County Jail, according Assistant Sheriff Billy J. Murray.

Curry was charged with drug trafficking and unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, and Henderson was charged with drug trafficking. Curry’s bond was set at $350,000 and Henderson’s bond was $250,000. The release also states that federal charges may be pending in the case.

A court date has been scheduled for Oct. 26.
