Alabama State Troopers are on scene of a wreck on I-20 West near mile marker 162. There is one confirmed fatality and I-20 West only has one lane open.

Drivers traveling west can take exit 163 at U.S. 78 in Riverside and travel west until they intersect U.S. 231 then go north back to I-20.

Drivers traveling east on I-20 can take exit 158 at U.S. 231 and go south until they intersect U.S. 78 then go east.

The crash occurred at approximately 6:26 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12. State Troopers have opened the inside lane of I-20 west, but traffic is very slow. Motorists need to use alternate routes.
