On July 2, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reported that two-vehicle crash at 10:12 a.m. claimed the life of a Pell City man.

Jeffery Shane Hyatt, 25, was killed when the 2008 Honda motorcycle he was operating collided head-on with a 2002 Hyundai Accent driven by James Lee Walker, 66, of Ragland. Hyatt was pronounced dead at the scene. Walker was not injured.

The crash occurred on Manning Road five miles north of Pell City. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
