- Hardwick Road Resurfacing to bid
Eight ATRIP projects have been scheduled through St. Clair County in 2015, and the next on the list is heading off to bid.
On March 24, County Engineer Dan Dahlke told the St. Clair County Commission that a resurfacing project on a three-mile stretch of Hardwick Road in the Cropwell area between U.S. 78 and Alabama Highway 34 would be bid soon, and construction on the project would likely begin in July.
Dahlke said the estimated total cost of the project was $1.05 million, and the County’s 20 percent match would come to around $211,000.
This year, ATRIP resurfacing projects on Chandler Mountain and Shoal Creek Roads have already been bid, and five more projects are anticipated to launch between now and August. Dahlke said the window for construction through ATRIP is between May and September.
