LAC to stage Sinatra tribute

The Leeds Arts Council presents “The Best of Ol’ Blue Eyes,” a tribute to Frank Sinatra, this weekend.

Show times are 7 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday.  Tickets are $10.  Call 205-699-1892 for reservations.

The show includes an intermission, and concessions will be available.  The Leeds Theatre and Arts Center is located at 8140 Parkway Drive.

The show is expected to include Sinatra’s most famous songs, including “Five Minutes More,” “Leanin’ the Blues,” “Mam’selle”, “Oh! What It Seemed To Be,” “Strangers in the Night,” “All Or Nothing At All,” “Somethin’ Stupid,: “I’ll Never Smile Again,” “Dolores,” “There Are Such Things,” “In The Blue Of Evening.”

The singer’s trademarks were his crooning voice, black fedora, blue eyes and sports coat.  He was also part of the “Rat Pack” along with  Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Joey Bishop and Peter Lawford.
