PCPD December Report

The Pell City Police Department received a total of 2,483 calls during December, according to its monthly report.  
There were 51 warrants issued, nine recalled, and 46 executed, including warrants issued in previous months. 
Animal Control drove 1,634 miles during routine patrol. A total of 15 animals were picked up, including seven cats and eight dogs.
Marine One was not operating during the month of December.  
During the month, the department prepared 56 arrest reports, 137 incident/offense and supplement reports, and 36 traffic accident reports.   Detectives were assigned 96 new cases, including 40 misdemeanors, 41 felonies, and 15 non-criminal incidents.
The felony cases included 19 reports of theft, eight reports of burglary, six reports of UBEV, one report of forgery, two reports of criminal mischief, three reports of identity theft, one report of robbery, and one report of domestic violence.
The misdemeanor cases included 15 reports of theft, seven reports of domestic violence, eight reports of harassment, one report of leaving the scene, six reports of criminal mischief, one report of unauthorized use of a vehicle, one report of assault, and one report of child abuse.
Seized during the month were .25 ounces of marijuana, .5 grams of methamphetamine, and four forged prescriptions.
Chaplains and volunteers worked 38 hours last month.
