The regularly scheduled Leeds City Council meeting set for Monday, October 15 was rescheduled for Monday, October 22 at 6 p.m. at Leeds Civic Center due to a quorum not being met.

An official role call was taken with District 2 councilman Ross Bartee, Mayor Eric Patterson and District 3 councilwoman Susan Carswell in attendance.

District 4 council member Charlotte Earnest was excused as she was out of town, but District 1 representative Kenneth Washington and Johnny Kile from District 5 were no shows.

“We can’t conduct business without a quorum,” said Patterson. “A quorum is needed to finish this administration’s business.”
