Pell City’s annual fireworks display will begin after dark Friday, July 4, at Riverside Park.

“If you haven’t seen it from the lake, I’d recommend you do it,” Mayor Joe Funderburg said.  “Get out there on a boat, and it’s really something to see.”

Weather reports currently predict a high temperature of 95 degrees for Independence Day, with scattered thunderstorms and a 60-percent chance of rain.

“Last year, we went ahead with it even though it rained and still have a good evening,” the mayor said.  “Hopefully we’ll have nice weather next week, though.”
