On Wednesday, May 14, 2014, the Animal Shelter of Pell City Inc. hosted a Volunteer Day in conjunction with the receipt of a grant the shelter was given by The Animal Rescue Site, Greater Good and Animal Lifeline. Volunteers began working before the shelter opened and continued working throughout the day. New dog beds were put together, shelving units were constructed, new kennels were assembled to provide a space in which small dogs and puppies could have outside play time and an agility ramp was also constructed. It was a fun and productive day at the shelter.
