Photo ID now required when voting

Primary elections in St. Clair County and its neighboring areas are set for Tuesday, June 3rd.
Voters need to know that presenting a photo ID such as a current driver’s license, non-driver ‘a license picture ID or college/university ID (to name a few) are now required at the polls.
The last day to register to vote is Friday, May 23rd and last day to apply for absentee ballot is Thursday, May 29th.
The last opportunity for citizens needing to vote absentee at the courthouse because of an emergency is Monday, June 2nd.
Free Alabama photo voter ID’s are available for those who qualify.
Interested individuals should log onto www.sos.al.state.gov.
