OLETA B. BUCKNER

Oleta B. Buckner, 96, died on May 6, 2014.  She was a longtime member of Riverside Baptist Church and held many offices and teaching positions in the church.  She worked tirelessly for her Lord and His church for many years.

Funeral service was held on Saturday, May 10 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home.  Interment was held in Coleman Cemetery in Riverside.  The family received friends Friday, May 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James W. Buckner; her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Charles E. Burns; sisters, Lois B. Smith, Olna B. Allcorn, Kay B. Turner; brothers, James F., Donald E., and Harold Wayne Burns; and son-in-law, Roy F. Chandler.

She is survived by one son, Kenneth D. Buckner (wife Kitty); one daughter, Gail B. Chandler; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and neighbors.
