County under winter storm warning

Accordig to the National Weather Service multiple rounds of winter weather are expected to sweep through several Alabama regions including St. Clair County tonight through Wednesday night.
Pell City Schools and St. Clair County Schools will be closed tomorrow.
A warning has been issued for snow, sleet and freezing rain beginning at 9 p.m. tonight through Wednesday night at midnight.
An upper level disturbance is expected to approach Alabama from the West later today as northern winds push colder air south over Alabama. Light rain is expected to turn into snow and sleet and result in freezing rain through Tuesday morning as temperatures drop.
Another round of winter weather is predicted for Tuesday night through Wednesday niight for North Central Alabama. The second round may have higher accumulations of snow and sleet than Monday night. Accumulations of one to two inches between now and Tuesday night.
Travel conditions are expected to be hazardous or nearly impossible.
