Recently friends, family and loved ones hosted a send off party for Holt at The Livery in Leeds.

Showcasing her interview outfit, evening gown and cocktail attire to the crowd, Holt worked the room.

Clenching her first international title at seven-years-old Holt is a singer, dancer, majorette, on the math team and in National Honor Society as a sophomore at Oak Mountain High School.

“Brooklyn’s been singin’, dancin’ and twirlin’ her whole life,” said Brooklyn’s mom Clarisse Holt.

Holt’s platform is dear to her heart as she started Raise Your Voice for Children.

Prepping herself for the interview portion of the competition, Holt said she’s conducted mock interviews with panels and listens to National Public Radio (NPR) to keep up with current events.

Perfecting her talent Holt sang Finding Wonderland.

“I chose this song because it defines my year as Miss Leeds Area Outstanding Teen,” said Holt.

Holt’s neighbor Charlene Seward was captivated the first time she heard Brooklyn sing.

“Her singing was beautiful,” said Seward. “I knew then I never wanted to miss another performance.”

With her goal in sight, Brooklyn is days away from knowing if she’ll be give a new title.

“We are so excited for Brooklyn,” said Donna Coates a member of the Miss Alabama committee. “She has been a great representative for our city.”

Looking forward to competing at the state level March 1, 2 and 3 at Sylacauga High School, Holt hopes to take the title.

“She’s a very focused and driven 16-year-old,” said Clarisse.

Eager to claim the name of Miss Alabama’s Outstanding Teen, Holt says she’s ready.

“I’ve enjoyed being Miss Leeds Area Outstanding Teen because I’ve been able to have fun, embrace the moment and the opportunity.”
