- Hoping to make Valentine’s Day special for those battling cancer, Primp and Paint and Lakeside Hospice are teaming up to offer a day of pampering as a way to take the stress out of getting ready.
Providing love for cancer patients this Valentine’s Day, Lakeside Hospice along with Primp and Paint will host a day of pampering from 1-4 p.m.
Participants must be cancer patients currently receiving treatments under a doctor’s care. They are also required to call for an appointment.
“We want to make sure we take care of those patients as we can because they struggle with bad days and have a lot of stress,” Lakeside Hospice Missions Coordinator Teresa Carden said. “It is important to call for an appointment ahead of time.”
Appointments can be made now through the morning of the event by calling Amy Graham, owner of Primp and Paint, at 884-8000 or 812-4087.
Mary Kay consultant will be there to do makeup.
“Let us take the stress out of getting ready. We have scarves, wigs, hats and makeup to doll you up,” Carden said.
Participants will get to keep all of the items they select for their primping and pampering. Every guest also receives a special gift and any veteran will receive a bonus gift.
Primp and Paint is located at 2300 Cogswell Avenue, Pell City.
