On Sunday Argo Christian Fellowship Church will host their annual fall festival from 2-4 p.m. for kids of all ages.
Free to the public, the event gives kids an opportunity to kick fall into high gear and provides parents with peace of mind when it comes to saving pennies.
“This is an outreach project for the community to reach out to children in surrounding communities,” Ann Brown of Argo Christian Fellowship said.
An array of booths will be set up with endless games and prizes.
In charge of organizing the event, Debbie Lambert says everybody likes to get involved.
“We get together and everybody comes up with ideas for the booths and takes part in constructing them. We switch around the booths every year based on what’s popular.”
Argo Christian Fellowship Church has been hosting the fall festival off and on for about 20 years.
“It’s grown a lot over the years,” Lambert said.
Festivities include games, door prizes and free food like cotton candy, popcorn and hot dogs.
“In the past the kids really seemed to like the obstacle course inflatable,” Lambert said.
For Lambert the fall festival is a benefit to the kids.
“We want to provide a safe environment for them. By providing a free event for the kids, we hope to help keep them safe around Halloween so parents don’t have to worry about them,” Lambert said.
Lambert said their goal was to host the event this weekend to give kids as many opportunities as possible to participate in other Halloween festivities in the coming weeks.
