I-20 completion date change

In 2010 the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) began working on a project, the Progress 20 project, to widen the interstate between Moody and Pell City.
The original completion date for the project, Oct. 1, 2012, has been pushed back. ALDOT reports the project will hopefully be completed in the summer of 2013.
ALDOT reports some unexpected technical issues have arisen since the project began.
Project workers continue to close lanes on weekdays during nighttime hours and putting up road blocks, working as weather allows, to get the project completed on time.
ALDOT is also working along I-20 in counties to surrounding St. Clair.
