Historical society genealogy workshop

St. Clair Historical Society will hold its annual genealogy workshop and potluck lunch meeting Saturday, June 16 at the Fortson Museum and Archives in Odenville at 9 a. m.

 “Unlocking the past at Alabama Archives” will be the topic of Nancy Dupree, senior archivist at the Alabama Department of Archives and History from 9:30 until 9:55 a.m. After time for questions, she will speak on “Putting Leaves on the Family Tree” with a survey of what materials are available at the Archives Building in Montgomery and how to access them.

Pat Hall, vice president, will preside.

The potluck lunch will be in the kitchen from noon until 1 p.m. The business meeting will begin at 1:15.
