“Moody means business”

Networking was the main event at last week’s Moody Area Chamber of Commerce (MACC)’s monthly luncheon.

Interacting with local businesses throughout the Moody and St. Clair County areas, chamber luncheon attendees promoted themselves to one another in order to share the message of their business.

Physical therapists, photographers, realtors, magazine moguls, website designers, radio station directors and various other business owners relayed what makes their companies work and how each person they met that day could benefit from their services.

In an area where “Moody means business,” the Moody business association considers itself “a thriving community that offers the most sought after features business and industries require.”

Moody High School senior Cady Parsons took part in her first chamber speed networking event. As she spoke to each business owner or representative, she explained what it means to her to be a part of the MACC Ambassadors program.

“To become an ambassador we apply through our school. This provides us with a hands-on experience. It’s so fun,” said Parsons. “At the end of the school year, one ambassador is awarded a scholarship. This program also allows us to interact with the chamber and shows us how to carry ourselves. I enjoy this program so much.”

Collecting a stack of business cards along with meeting numerous potential new clients/customers MACC once again had a successful speed networking luncheon.
