“The golf course is a fun and exciting way to meet new potential clients/customers,” said Andrea Machen, Executive Director for the MACC. “We had a great turnout last year for our first annual tournament, with over 20 teams.”
Golf lovers and those looking to get started in the sport are encouraged to register. The cost to enter is $100 for individual or $300 per team. This fee includes lunch, dinner, a goody bag, cart, green fee, putting contest, range balls, door prizes and the chance to win a two-year lease on a Ford Fusion from Pell City’s Town & Country Ford Lincoln dealership through the American Hole-In-One program.
“Last year we had great prizes for the winners along with terrific door prizes for everyone. This year we are upping our prizes for the winners,” said Machen.
The tournament is filling up fast, but interested parties have until Wednesday, April 4th to register. For individuals or teams signing up after the April 4th deadline the entry fee is $125 per person and $400 per team.
“Last year we had over twenty teams of four golfers participate and awarded a number of prizes for several categories,” said MACC President Tracy Patterson. “The tournament raises funds to assist MACC continue many of our worthwhile programs including the MACC Ambassador program involving students at Moody High School.”
Local businesses can also show their support by buying hole sponsorship, being a meal sponsor or a scoreboard sponsor. Hole sponsorship is $100, $250 for a meal sponsor and $25 to be up on the scoreboard.
Mulligans, the styrofoam cup drive and the Moody Vegas hole were big hits at last year’s tournament and something this year’s golfers can once again look forward to.
Springville’s own Jeff Otwell will provide live musical entertainment during dinner and just before awards are handed out. To find out more about Otwell visit www.jeffotwell.com.
Check-in/registration starts at 10:30 a.m., lunch is at 11:15 a.m. and at high noon on Monday, April 23rd MACC will have a shotgun start to its second annual Moody Masters Golf Tournament.
“I encourage everyone to dust off the clubs and join us for a great day of golf and an opportunity to network with other business and community leaders,” said Patterson. To register contact the MACC offices at 205-640-0325.
