Moody tax dollars at work

The following items were approved at last week’s Moody City Council meeting.

* Police Chief Bobby Breed was given approval to purchase two Micro Recorders, one DVD burner and an external hard drive for the property custodian.

These purchases will benefit Breed’s CID staff. The recorders will come from Scorpion Micro, the burner and the hard drive are both from Inline Solutions.

All of Breed’s requests were approved per the Oversight Committee. Funding was provided from the special confiscated funds account. All purchases totaled $406.89.

*Dave Treadwell was authorized to spend $16,640 on lights at a field at Moody Ball Park.

*The council approved the motion to keep its Central Dispatch Contract with St. Clair County for the agreed price of $70, 601 for one year.

In other Moody City Council news, the council went into executive session to discuss possible litigation. Exiting our of executive session, back into regular session, the council gave Moody City Attorney Bill Weathington the authorization to settle with Harris & Doyle Homes in Alden Glen Subdivision.

The next Moody City Council meeting is set for Monday, January 23 at 6pm at Moody City Hall.
