Memorial Services for Nancy Hunter, age 62, were held on Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall, Silverdale, Washington.
Mrs. Hunter passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2012 in Seattle, Washington.
She is survived by her husband, Charles A. Hunter; son Jonathan (Lisa) Hunter, Seattle, Washington; granddaughter, Alyssa Hunter, Bremerton, Washington; four brothers, J. Larry (Norma) Buckner, Ragland, Alabama; Gary (Darlene) Buckner, Poulsbo, Washington; Stephen (Lauren) Buckner, Kingston, Washington; Kevin (Laurie) Buckner, Gig Harbor, Washington; sisters, Patricia Burke, Bremerton, Washington; Cathy (Franco) Solda’, Chiampo, Italy; Susan Ray, Poulsbo, Washington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Nancy was born May 31, 1949, in Riverside, Alabama, to John and Ruth Buckner, of Poulsbo, Washington. She attended school in Pell City, Alabama and graduated from Hardee High School. Wauchula, Florida, in 1966. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling on cruise ships, shopping, cooking for her family and country music. She was very active and loved to walk and ride bikes with her husband. She had been a devoted Jehovah’s Witness since December 1969. She married her husband, on October 4, 1969, on Bainbridge Island, Washington.
