Moody Elementary students Zoie Galloway and Hunter Daily recently received gift cards to the stores of their choice for collecting the most donations in a $1,000 Vacation Giveaway fundraiser event for the school through Seasons of Adventure Travel in Odenville.
Galloway collected $230 in donations, earning her a $30 gift card, and Daily came in second place with $180, earning him a $20 gift card.
The giveaway was a fundraiser drawing for the Moody Elementary Parent Teacher Organization, and raised approximately $4,000 for their school.
Additionally, Seasons of Adventure will donate 10 percent of commissions to Moody Elementary School for any travel booked by the end of the year when the Moody Elementary fundraiser is mentioned. Bookings made by June 15 will also have a portion of commissions donated to tornado relief efforts.
Seasons of Adventure is willing to hold similar fundraisers for other local schools or organizations, and has already been approved for use by the St. Clair County Board of Education. For more information, call Joanie Mardis at 205-540-4979 or email joanie@seasonsofadventure.com.
