Extension’s tomato workshop to provide spring insight

The St. Clair County Office of the Alabama Cooperative Extension System is offering a “Backyard Tomato Workshop” on Friday, April 15, beginning at 9 a.m. and concluding at approximately 3 p.m. The workshop will be held at the Pell City Civic Center located at 2801 Stemley Bridge Road.

Topics to be covered include: proper planting, variety selection, growing in containers ●diseases, insects and diseases, nutritional & health value of tomatoes and preservation
There is a charge of $10 per person which covers lunch and resource material. Advance registration is required. Registration forms are available on the St. Clair County Extension office webpage at www.aces.edu/StClair or by calling 205-338-9416. Registration deadline is Friday, April 8.
