Pell City Softball Briefs

The Pell City Lady Panthers JV and varsity softball teams participated in annual Hewitt-Trussville Round Robin Tournament last weekend. A total of 21 varsity teams and eight JV teams competed.
Pell City played one game on Friday night, losing to Gardendale, 4-1. On Saturday, the Lady Panthers lost their first game to Vestavia, 5-0, before winning their final two games against Corner, 4-0, and Southside, 4-3. Reagan Isbell led the offense with four hits, while Dre Lane had three. Ashley Robinson and Reagan Isbell had two RBIs each.
Allie Hall pitched nine innings, while her sister Breanna Hall threw six and one-third innings.
The JV Lady Panthers split a double header in Friday night pool play, winning the Hewitt game, while losing to Moody. On Saturday, they lost their elimination game in an international tiebreaker, two-extra inning game, 1-0, to Vestavia.
The Lady Panthers Varsity will visit Decatur this weekend to compete in another tournament.
