Leeds High School senior Timothy Sligh was presented the Marine Corps Band Excellence Award during halftime of the LHS football game against Coosa-Central two weeks ago.

Sligh was one of four band members in the State of Alabama to win the award. Sligh, who plays tuba, is a seven-year veteran of the LHS Green Wave band program.
