Ragland’s Summer Sizzle kicks off Aug. 7 at 9 a.m., and events will last until 9 p.m. It will be held at the city park.

A classic car and motorcycle cruise and parade will begin at 11 a.m. Candie’s Hearts for Caner will be putting on the motorcycle ride. All proceeds go towards fighting caner.

Local entertainers from throughout the county will be performing throughout the day. There will be two stages with Negative 29 headlining the main stage at 7:30 p.m.

Summer Sizzle also will feature:

* Free hot air balloon rides

* Helicopter rides (not free)

* A farmer’s market

* A Kiddie “Carnival”

* Ragland’s splash pad, a place for the kids to cool off in

* Tennis matches

* Softball games

* Karaoke Contest

There will  be many booths on hand selling food and crafts, a farmer’s market, events for the whole family and more!
