Two people were killed in a car accident on Interstate 20 Friday night, May 7, according to officials with the Alabama State Troopers.

An Ashville man, Zachary Jeron Harville, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Katie Elizabeth Hill, 22, of Morris, was transported to UAB Hospital where she was pronounced dead on May 8.

Harville was the driver of a 2006 Dodge Ram truck and Hill was a passenger when the accident occured within the Leeds City Limits in Jefferson County.

Two other vehicles were involved in the accident. The occupants of those vehicles were not injured, according to authorities.

The accident occurred at approximately 9:05 p.m.
