Get ready for an exciting show tonight at Silver’s Saloon and Restaurant in Riverside that will feature performers from the past and present.

Great food and good times are expected when Terry Turner, who had a six-year stint in Las Vegas, takes the stage as the King of Rock and Roll, Conway Twitty and reveals his new Tom Jones act. In addition to Turner’s entertainment will be Rick Lenzi, who will portray Buddy Holly, Rickie Nelson and the 1968 “comeback” Elvis.

Rounding out the night’s entertainment will be Bart Connell, a Pell City native who has made his home in Nashville for some time playing country music. He had his first single release nationwide, and has recorded songs written by some of the greatest writers in Nashville, including Jerry Foster, Johnny Morris, Dean Dillion, Don Goodman, Buddy Cannon, A.J. Masters, Bobby Fischer and J.B. Detterline Jr. Connell’s influences are all the way from George Jones, Hank Williams and Moe Bandy to Lynyrd Skynyrd. Bart describes his music as country, mixed with a little rock and a little Blues.

The New Year’s Eve celebration gets kicked off with dinner at 6:30 before the five-hour show starts an hour later. The show is billed as family entertainment, but with it being New Years Eve, there will be alcohol served to those in attendance.

“We’re excited about helping Silver’s kick off their opening and their introduction to the area and being their first big show,” Carol Polk, owner of TCB Shows, which put together tonight’s lineup, said.

The hours of continuous entertainment at Silvers (in the building which used to house Legends) in Riverside will also include a 50-50 split the pot drawing, a choice of several dinner options, which is included in the ticket price and champagne and party poppers at midnight.
