Williams Intermediate Students Complete DARE Program

Approximately 350 children graduated from the Pell City DARE Program during a ceremony at the new Williams Intermediate School recently. Guest speakers at the ceremony were Chief Greg Turley and Anchorwoman Tiffany Bittner. Students Tre’ Robinson and Regan Harmon were given special awards and a $25 gift certificate for winning the DARE essay competition. The Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) program is a proven program supported by the City of Pell City and the local DARE Board. Courses are taught in the fifth, seventh, and ninth grade by certified instructors that are veteran police officers.
