Well another Thanksgiving has come and gone and Christmas is right around the corner. I hope you all had a great holiday and a wonderful time with family and friends. We at the library are gearing up for the Christmas holiday and will be decorating this week. Be sure to come by and see what Marion changes into for Christmas.

I want to give a shout out to two area businesses. I had some work done on my car at Penningtons Garage and had some tires put on at Clarks Tire. Mr., Pennington and Mr. Clark did a great job on my car and were fair in price. We are very lucky to have them here in town.

Remember, the Kountry Knights Chess Club is having their tournament on December 12 at Micasita Restaurant in Odenville. Come by the library for all the information and the registration packet. The Christmas Parade is also that day at 4:30 p.m.

Now for a personal note I want to say Happy Birthday to my granddaughter Mallory who turned one on November 30 and my son Charlie who was 26 on December 2. My how the time flies.
