After opening her new tour in Las Vegas this week, Tanya Tucker will make her second stop in Talladega, with two shows on December 12 at the Historic Ritz Theatre.

The show will include some of Tucker’s biggest hits, material from her new CD My Turn, her first in seven years, as well as a generous selection of Tucker’s favorite Christmas songs.

She was barely a teenager when “Delta Dawn” launched Tucker into country music superstardom and a career that has spanned almost 40 years. Tucker has scored Top 10 Country singles in three different decades, in the process winning a Grammy, two awards from the Academy of Country Music and two more from the Country Music Association. Country Music Television named her one of the Top 20 “Greatest Women of Country Music,” and Tucker is also one of the few country artists to have graced the cover of Rolling Stone.

“It’s a thrill to be the second stop on Miss Tucker’s tour,” said Ritz Executive Director Tom Wofford. “It’s going to be a special show, and a great early Christmas present for a lot of happy fans in east Alabama.”
