Virginia Deason “MeeMaw” Moon

Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Deason “MeeMaw” Moon, 85, were held Monday, February 18, 2008 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City with Reverend Carrie Kramer Vasa officiating.
Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Moon passed away Saturday, February 16, 2008.
She is survived by five sons, Pitt Moon, III of Festus, Missouri, Tom Moon of Knoxville, Tennessee, John Moon of Ringgold, Georgia, Jimmy Moon of Swedesboro, New Jersey, Mike Moon of Port St. Lucie, Florida; one daughter, Lynn Mulvehill of Pell City; one brother, Dr. A. M. Deason of Vestavia, Alabama; thirteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Moon was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. While raising her children, she was very active in little league as well as being a Cub Scout den mother and president of Minor Elementary School PTA. She had a very strong passion for sports and nature, but her true passion was her family.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Moon, Chase Mulvehill, Chris Moon, Blake Mulvehill, Trey Moon and Brad Moon.
Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City directed the services.
